Yeah, Jane Austen is very quotable and it's funny how many of things she wrote years ago still stand today!

On our tv, each Sunday night, they've been showing a Jane Austen adaption. Emma, and Persuasion have been shown (which I've seen before, but not these versions). I was a bit disappointed by them, but last Sunday was Northanger Abbey which I really enjoyed and wasn't familiar with the story. And this coming Sunday will be Billy Piper, in Mansfield Park. I just can't picture Billy in the role; I'm use to the Aussie actress Francis O'Conner's version. But hopefully it'll be good. Do you have a favourite story of Austen's?

I love 'Pride and Prejudice', especially the BBC series version that was made in 1995. I also like the Emma film with Gwyneth Paltrow from 1996 and the Sense and Sensibility film from 1995 with Emma Thompson. The mid 1990's were obviously a good time for Jane Austen adaptations!
